While interesting, very little of the content is Late Roman. Hard to see why it was tagged as such.
- gostsamo 3y agoThere is a republic somewhere there. Though the text itself lacks certain coherence and a main focus beyond listing people and some details around them.
- thom 3y agoCicero was one of the central figures of the Late Republic (or at least made sure he was seen as such, while others decided the actual fate of Rome). What’s your objection here?
- mywacaday 3y agoIf you have the time the Cicero trilogy(Imperium/Lustrum/Dictator) by Robert Harris are a great read.
- rsynnott 3y agoNearly all of this does seem to be in reference to the late Republic (ie 1st century BCE)
