Do you know if they pay the same rate to PGE when they use power from the batteries that would have paid if they bought from the grid?
- r00fus 3y agoWouldn’t that be double dipping from the power company? The homes with powerwall pay for the electricity to load the powerwall days before they are forced to use it as backup when PGE can’t fix the lines fast enough.
- YeBanKo 3y agoIt depends on terms. That’s why I think the rate maybe reduces. It would be also strange if powerwalls with installation were just gifted to them.
