What a weird perspective. Do people expect the airlines to just eat the loss for no reason? It's not like consumers are getting screwed here, we're all used to

It's not like consumers are getting screwed here, we're all used to airline ticket prices because that's what they cost without carbon taxes.
Now that we're a bit smarter and have a new regulation, that cost is going to be rolled into the price of the ticket.
It's like complaining tickets cost more when fuel is more expensive as if that's unfair.
Am I missing anything here?

There’s a talking point that 100 corporations generate most greenhouse gases implying individuals are not to blame. But if people are asked to use less fuel directly or indirectly or buy less goods they reject the idea of moderating their consumption. Climate change is the ultimate prisoner’s dilemma. Each individual and country directly benefits from higher income, consumption, and GDP through cheap non-renewable energy. The costs of GHG emissions are literally spread across the entire planet.
