Hopin Sold for $15M After Raising $1B
- rmason 3y agoWe had some statewide meetings online for Michigan entrepreneurs at the start of COVID. Someone suggested that we use Hopin which I'd never heard of at the time. I fell in love with the platform and used it myself for some things I was doing at the time. It was a little rough around the edges but innovating fast. Actually preferred it to Zoom for some things. I wouldn't have been surprised to learn of a sizeable decline in valuation, maybe news of a down round but didn't expect them to hold a fire sale.
- treesciencebot 3y ago> Founder sells $140million worth of secondary shares in June 2021 I wonder whether any (non-executive) employees had the chance of participating in this secondary market.
- rvz 3y agoI don't think so. Only the CEO was approved to sell his shares in the secondary market by the VCs on the board.
