The US culture was very much oriented around this model just a generation ago.
What makes US culture change faster?
- igetspam 3y agoLies and misdirection? To think we've evolved past that is a mistake. We pay lip service to it but we haven't moved on. We still shame working women because they don't have or don't spend enough time with their kid(s). Then we shame stay-at-home mom's for being lazy. We're fun!
- xboxnolifes 3y agoWhile I definitely see shame toward working women with children, I don't think I've ever seen anyone shame a stay at home mom for being a stay at home mom.
