- masklinn 3y agoBecause you think “any kids today” are the ones who requested and built Saturn V models, a rocket which last flew in 1973?
- PurpleRamen 3y agoThis is for grownup kids, who will put it on display. Most of them should remember the Concorde from their youth.
- LegitShady 3y agoYou think kids are the ones buying $200 lego sets?
- sublinear 3y agoNo. That's my point.
- masklinn 3y agoIt’s still not clear what your point is then, do you assert Lego can only sell to kids?
- LegitShady 3y agoI don’t think your point is being communicated very clearly.
- sublinear 3y agoI think it's very clear, but lots of people don't like it.
- LegitShady 3y agoI think you're imagining things. I've read 3 posts of yours now and I still have no idea what point you think you're making, or why you think its so clever. Completely mystified. Whatever it is, it must be super deep and beyond my understanding of the obvious issues in lego. You're completely failing to communicate, and your worry about whether people like or dislike your post seems to be stopping you from just explicitly saying what you mean. I have no idea what you think you're trying to say, but nothing you've said so far seems like some kind of revelation about lego that we need this slow revelation. Just say what you mean, completely, with multiple sentences, in a complete logical argument.
- beezlewax 3y agoThis is for the kids parents
- itake 3y agoThe ad literally says "Adults welcome". This product is for adults, not kids.
- Karawebnetwork 3y agoLego has a lot of products that are less "kids toys" and more "low entry model making" or "3D puzzles". At the Lego stores, the two are in separate sections. (Not that a kid cannot buy a "serious" set and that an adult can't buy a "whimsical" set.)
- dotnet00 3y agoWhat's so different about kids these days that would make them not be interested in cool planes?
- onemoresoop 3y agoThis is a perfect starting point to learn about Concorde. The care may come afterwards when they learn more about it.
- clintonb 3y agoYou've clearly never spent much time with children. They care about anything that looks cool, and will easily fall down a Youtube rabbit hole learning about it. Nearly every toddler I have come across knows about dinosaurs before they have ever set foot in a museum. My kid knows about the Saturn V because of the LEGO set. He loves the Space Shuttle because of a picture I took at the Smithsonian. His mind will be blown if/when we visit Udvar-Hazy. The kids are going to be alright.
- Someone1234 3y agoLego describes LEGO Icons thusly[0]: > Spend quality time with premium LEGO® sets designed specifically for adults.
