- rsynnott 3y agoDidn’t BAe’s remaining civil stuff end up with Airbus, tho? I don’t think they have any left.
- fredoralive 3y agoAirbus had Concorde's type certificate at the end, and they also had the BAC 1-11's as well, so I you're right that BAe handed off their responsibilities for legacy airliners off onto Airbus at some point (presumably when they were still a shareholder in the consortium). It is a bit of a pity this model doesn't have the British Aircraft Corporation and Sud Aviation / Aerospatiale France markings that that livery should have though.
- FirmwareBurner 3y agoI'm sure Lego's legal team cleared up the licensing rights to the Concorde name with the right entity who owns it today, most likely Airbus. Sure, BAE help build it decades ago, but they most likely don't own the Concorde trademark anymore.
- Someone1234 3y agoUnless I'm missing it, it doesn't seem to be on the actual Concorde Lego set anywhere. Just on the box. I'm guessing Airbus own the trademark, and it may be a series of Airbus owned aircraft sets.
