Even before I got my security clearance, it was always in my employment agreement that my employer may monitor my communications while at work. Is notification the same as consent under these circumstances?
- mytailorisrich 3y agoWell, if it's in the employment contact, which you agreed to and signed, it's not 'notification', you agreed to that term.
- tssva 3y agoGoing back to the mid-90s every company I worked for had a computer use policy which I had to sign as part of onboarding. These always included a section regarding monitoring and that signing the policy was agreeing to the monitoring. This included small businesses up to large global enterprises.
