- ewgoforth 3y agoI remember that 15 years ago, many ATMs were running OS/2. Is this still the case?
- smcleod 3y agoI know quite a few of them in Australia run … windows, I think CE. You see them crashed all over the place here.
- IntelMiner 3y agoANZ ATM's used to have the Internet Explorer *CLICK* noise every few seconds when you'd access them, absolutely irritating after about the 30th time when you just want to get cash out
- guessbest 3y agoI haven't seen an OS/2 based interface on an ATM since 2007. I know that Kroger used OS/2 around the same time period, but I haven't been in a Kroger since 2011.
- kjs3 3y agoI consulted with a couple of US banks that used OS/2 based ATMs circa 15 years ago. They all seemed to like them (secure and reliable) but the writing on the wall and everyone had a slow-roll plan to replace them.
