YouTube will stop showing videos on the homepage if your watch history is off

- znpy 3y agoYoutube is becoming trashier and trashier by the day. I don’t have any adblocker on my company macbook so i had to go through the same advertising nine times in a 16-minutes video. I hate it so much, but most content is there. It’s really ripe for disruption.
- butz 3y agoSounds logical, as they keep filling homepage with videos that one has already watched. As a final touch, Youtube should add unremovable "Shorts" block on homepage.
- lm28469 3y agohm no, not logical at all. I disabled history and everything I could disable back in 2015 and my homepage showed me the latest videos of channels I subscribed to, which is exactly what I wanted.
- lm28469 3y agoAh so that's why my homepage is empty for a few days now. What a shame, I already mostly stopped using youtube because of the insane amount of ads they display, which is way more than what I used to have on TV back when I still watched it. My homepage used to display new videos from the channels I subscribed to and it was literally the only reason I bothered visiting youtube
