- cratermoon 3y agoWould you disagree about him highlighting the AI risks to "the most fragile and excluded", then?
- momirlan 3y ago"the most fragile and excluded" is a political statement, and can mean whatever the author want. I for one see only advantages for disabled people in new AI supported tools and robots. If one is "excluded" by definition from society, then I fail to see how AI can endanger them. The people need to change their attitude and include them, but AI is not involved in conscience matters.
- cratermoon 3y ago> can mean whatever the author want Can you give an example of what you might consider "the most fragile and excluded"? What is "excluded by society" to you? That they are beyond the reach of the both the dangers and benefits of AI? > AI is not involved in conscience matters It's well documented that AI algorithms recapitulate the biases of their creators, and are engaged in uses that discriminate against protected classes. Remember Tay[1]? The question is not whether or not they are involved, but how they are used. 1 https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/mar/24/tay-microsofts-ai-chatbot-gets-a-crash-course-in-racism-from-twitter https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/mar/24/tay-micro...
- momirlan 3y agowhy don't you give an example, to prove my point ? to me "the most fragile" in a society is a child, "excluded" can be an illegal immigrant. I'm sure you have different, and more compelling examples. which again proves my point
