I doubt it. For better or worse, most of Canada's tech economy is pretend and sustained by government subsidies, either for companies or their customers. I don't see why this has to be true, there are real advantages to living and employing people here, but companies focus on optimizing for government handouts. Maybe that's changing? It would be nice to see some evidence.
