Long Covid is linked to a gene in new research
- mydriasis 3y ago> Roughly 25 million people in the U.S. and over 17 million people in Europe have long COVID symptoms, with many more in other parts of the world. That's a very large number. WRT FOXP4, is there any particular group of people who are more genetically predisposed to having the mutation than others?
- richard_rainbow 3y agoHow long has the FOXP4 been known of? A quick read of the wiki for it shows most articles made after 2020 with one I saw in 2017. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FOXP4 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FOXP4 If it is responsible in transcription it could be pretty fearful. EDIT HN has been discussing this for a very long time I see I found this today What is the Function of the FOXP2 Gene and What Chromosome is It on? https://metamind.substack.com/p/what-is-the-function-of-the-foxp2 https://metamind.substack.com/p/what-is-the-function-of-the-...
