Are there really that many opportunities where you need to scrape it with a browser as opposed to just fetching from the same JSON endpoint the web site is gett

Are there really that many opportunities where you need to scrape it with a browser as opposed to just fetching from the same JSON endpoint the web site is getting it from? There are some, not many, but when possible I would rather just use a simple request library to fetch it than have to spin up a browser.
