Right, but US propaganda is more effective because it nudges the reader to make the important connections to the desired narrative themselves. IE: Russian airlines can't even afford/acquire new brakes -> sanctions are working and their economy is crumbling -> the war will soon be over and Putin will be lose power. Both methods take a tiny kernel of truth and spin it to be much more meaningful than what it is, but allowing the reader to make the final connection is much more inception-like and thus much more effective.
