Annoying how much press this gets vs. similar situations elsewhere. Street asphalt turning liquid in places in India? Earth's largest rainforest turning into savannah? Places in Middle East becoming uninhabitable? Crop failures due to draughts in sub-Saharan Africa? Maybe a small report somewhere. Or primarily on science outlets. But record temps in Spain, US or other 'western' country? Holy sh.., disaster! And every news outlet jumps on it. 1 poor farmer dying from heat in India = equally bad as 1 US person doing the same. And (apart from describing their situation), homeless person or wealthy citizen is irrelevant.
