Heat camera captures scorching nature of record Phoenix heat wave
- mrguyorama 3y agoI often wonder about the raw economic cost of saving homeless people from heat stroke like this. Even in our new england city, hot days will have an ambulance called several times for someone basically dying from exposure. Those ambulance calls and hospital visits take resources, cost money. But nobody cares. Nobody gives a fuck that they live in a society where if you miss your rent payment, you can just go die on the street. Meanwhile in an other thread, a user here asks if people think it is smart to remove all "incentives" to get rich. On a thread about increasing the (artificially low) tax on jet fuel for private planes. Homelessness is a prioritization problem.
