Wait for the influx of HN comments to disagree with you, citing specific prompts that they found working. It may be obvious to you and me that it’s smoke and mirrors, but a lot of smart people fall for it.
- throwanem 3y ago"Smart" is a useless concept because it conflates cleverness and wisdom, which are orthogonal dimensions. Clever people who are not wise fall for lots of things.
- adamsmith143 3y ago"Stochastic Parrot" is a really tired take and none of the major players, Ilya Sutskever, Andrej Karpathy, etc. believe that's all these models are doing.

- sebzim4500 3y agoI would say in general that if a lot of smart people are disagreeing with you then maybe you should listen to their arguments.
