I've been using the prediction market https://manifold.markets/QuantumObserver/will-the-lk99-room-temp-ambient-pre https://manifold.markets/QuantumObserver/will-the-lk99-room-... as a way to track consensus opinion without having the expertise myself. It's currently near 20%, down from 30% in the last day. So we're not quite at the 'game over' phase.
