If anyone has seen the TechIngredients / CodysLab videos on cooling surfaces that can bring temperatures lower than ambient, maybe these could be manufactured and passed out to the homeless there? Very sad to see people baking alive there.

- citrin_ru 3y agoPassive cooling plant is not exactly cheap. Most cities are heat islands - they are hotter than surrounding areas because of low albedo. One can increase albedo by using white paint whenever possible. It bugs me that even in hot US cities people care about questionable aesthetics of dark colours more then about mitigation of heat waves.
