Every time I try it, it doesn't seem to work right. Because I don't feel like debugging my debugger, I just go back to gdb.
Yet I only hear other people speaking of it positively, so it seems they don't have that experience.
- db48x 3y agoIt does have some annoying hardware requirements. It works on both modern Intel and AMD Ryzen CPUs, but if your CPU is too old it just can’t. And at any time the next generation of CPUs could break the whole thing, although that hasn’t been a problem yet.
- planede 3y agoFWIW I had bad experiences with rr shipped with Ubuntu LTS. I build rr from source, it's relatively easy to do.
