I use the Zettelkasten method for the most part. I try to link notes from structure ("category") pages rather than with tags. Not sure how that will turn out in the long run. So far I seem to be doing pretty well in not just finding notes I knew to search for, but also discovering notes I had forgotten about. I also have separate folders for things I don't want to keep in my Zettelkasten, such as recipes, weekly food planning, or notes I revisit a lot (like once every day).
