Your points are valid, but we also have to factor in the amount of electricity consumed by gen X chip vs gen X+1 chip to perform certain amount of computing during their lifetime.
- causality0 3y agoAlso don't forget the amount of energy required to deliver it to your house, and the fact that energy is probably more carbon-intensive than the energy powering your old CPU.
