Intel deactivated avx512 in non pre-production. Did you mod your bios, or were you affected as well by this?
- Dalewyn 3y agoIt depends on the specific BIOS, but AVX512 can be used on Alder Lake CPUs if you buy a performance cores only processor or the efficiency cores are all disabled.
- SomeRndName11 3y ago1) You need CPU produced in late 2022, not in 2023. I deliberately checked the date code when was buying the CPU. 2) You need a motherboard with old miccrocode. 3) You need to disable microcode update in your OS, be it Windows or Linux.
