Wow ... that sounds a lot like Spyware.
- x86x87 3y agoThis is not surprising. Intel did things like ME in the past. The days where you bought the hardware and had full control over it are long gone imho

- sneak 3y agoPhilosophically and ethically and technically speaking, telemetry that happens automatically without first obtaining informed consent from the user being surveilled (i.e. so-called "opt-out telemetry") is equivalent to spyware.
- yomlica8 3y agoTelemetry is spyware with a marketing facelift. But I agree with a previous poster. If you're OK with what Windows already then this barely registers. For all we know this one won't even reset the manual opt-out every 6months to a year so it might be a minor annoyance in comparison.
