  Maybe to expand on this a bit, I suspect supply chain transparency is an important goal. It's generally accepted that if you're using a phone, you're probably using a product that at some level relied on slave labor / forced labor. Some companies, like Fairphone, have made huge strides into addressing this problem, but there's a big question about how sustainable they are in our present economy. They may fail because of restrictions they have imposed on themselves, that every other company should be operating under as well.
