Not clear from TFA what the solenoids are for. Also, there doesn't seem to be any kind of soundboard; it seems the sound made by the vibrating strings is supposed to be enough. It has LEDs on the strings; so perhaps it also has pickups, and is designed to be plugged into an amp?
