If you look at the past, it was when Facebook adjusted their algorithms to promote posts from "friends" over news that the platform really started radicalizing its users. Now, in Canada at least, it's nothing but "friend" posts with no actual news to provide a reality check. If they're in Canada, its time to get your parents off of Facebook. The Canadian government is really playing with fire here. They need to either get reality back on Facebook in Canada or they need to curb stomp Meta in Canada. They can't leave things as they currently are.
