A Lemmy instance specifically designed for archiving Reddit content
- mdaniel 3y agolooks like it got knocked off the Internet; since that site was the only link I knew of to its source: https://gitlab.com/sab_from_earth/lemmit https://gitlab.com/sab_from_earth/lemmit (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License with an especial vanity license clause of "Usage of this software for machine learning (AI) training is expressly prohibited") I was curious if they were doing hotlinking to the images versus using pictrs to host them locally, and at the time I saw it was actually using pictrs, so I shudder at the thought of the disk requirements for such a reddit mirror
- corrigible 3y agoThe cool part is that the backend is open source, I'll be mirroring a few of my favourite subs on my local lemmy instance with this. Thanks again for posting the link!
