New research finds that fully remote workers are less productive
- reportgunner 3y ago> It showed that productivity dropped by 18% among a group of workers randomly assigned to WFH. Sounds like a random insignificant outcome to me.
- cyanydeez 3y agoThe more important but is which workers. Data entry is not exactly the people who would be courted by work from home policies. And it's likely that percentage loss would easily made up by lowered infrastructure cost.
- Spastche 3y ago"could be less productive" whats the chances whoever wrote this has never been in an "open office" before? I can hear everyone's personal conversations and it's distracting as hell also the example is an indian city, just in my experience there's definitely a productivity culture gap with other popular offshoring countries, not sure about india but there's so many factors at play here. remote works well for me, as a single homeowner with no distractions at thome

- deterministic 3y agoOther research shows the opposite. Remember reading about it on HN but nope don’t have links available. My own experience is that I am WAY more productive working from home.
