The core problem is that those people with the wealth and power to do something about this - the Parasite Class at the top - are too greedy and obsessed with the obscene wealth they are acquiring with “Business As Usual”.
And they will never allow the politicians they have purchased to write legislation that turns off this spigot.
Even in aggregate, the average person can do nothing of material difference. This idea that our actions can make a difference is a red herring pushed down to us from the Parasite Class, in order to distract us from those who CAN make a difference… it’s just not profitable for them to do so.

- Ekaros 3y agoAnd to be honest it probably will. There is enough places that will be nice enough even with full blown changes. Or they can jet around the planet in private jets to be in nice weather all year around.
- ChatGTP 3y agoNone of that is going to work without infrastructure to make it happen. So I doubt it. In incredible amount of work goes into making jets fly.
- mistrial9 3y agopresented many times in Shakespeare and elsewhere.. the "Nobles" around the court, Barons or minor Princes with conflicts on their own lands. Not commanding from the top but instead mired in local conflict and between each other and their own family. A great conspiracy is not the way to think of this. It is a system with pressure. In general there is pressure around control of wealth, for ages. The modern forms of pressure come from attorneys mainly, or those closest to the action with ambitions and vices. "They will never allow" is shallow thinking, casting your own desire for power into the actors. The reality is complicated and not as simple. Reality is that there is great abundance at this time, and it is fought over daily using mostly legal means.
