A criminologist should do a study on the Discord-cybercrime pipeline. Lots of 15 year olds spending their days SIM swapping, hijacking OG usernames, stealing crypto, swatting, etc. As the article hints at, many don't even care about remaining anonymous because they know there will be no repercussions! The people involved in the 2020 Twitter hack and that kid who stole millions from Michael Terpin I would say are representative of this trend.

- NoZebra120vClip 3y agoThe best way to catch script kiddies was traditionally to just hang out on IRC with them, because they had uncontrollable compulsions to brag to their buddies on open channels about everything they'd done.
