It's amazing how more people dont see that theyre confusing whipped up shareholder FOMO with reality. I couldn't believe it when I read the Economist gushed over Copilot replacing programmers last year. I can see why their investor audience is into the concept of swapping programmer salaries with margin and theyve clearly watched movies like the Terminator or whatever. But, their "journalists" were clearly oblivious to the reality that copilot offers incremental gains in productivity at best.
