"It violates the spirit of the open source software movement" Says a person promoting open core. I have little interest in hearing lectures about the spirit of open source from open core proponents. None, actually. There are definitely folks who have standing to talk about Red Hat's decisions around distributing GPL'ed code, but if you're out there promoting open core or primarily make your money with proprietary code, you're not in that group.

> I have little interest in hearing lectures about the spirit of open source from open core proponents. None, actually. I maintain an open source project. I'd like to lecture you on how Red Hat is violating the spirit of the open source software movement. How's Tuesday work for you?

If you wanna swing round and buy the beer, go for it. Or Scotch. I'm partial to a good Scotch.

Reread that sentence again. Particularly the words "from open core proponents"
