Downtown Detroit Collapsed and Recovered. The Takeaways for San Francisco
- rmason 3y agoAs someone who watched the long fall and rise of Detroit I read this with considerable amusement. SF is missing an important piece of Detroit's recovery and that is the billionaire Dan Gilbert who invested $5 billion into the city's real estate and who created his own police force to bolster the city's. Who would be San Francisco's real estate savior? The only guy I can think of would be Elon Musk and the city isn't treating him very well these days.
