Poor journalism, and as such, click bait. The watches are non-functional and selling for less than 3 dollars in vending machines. Now, if Casio did manage to shrink their best sellers and sell them for orders of magnitude less than their normal sized products, I might shout, "I'll buy that for a dollar!" But no need to shout. These are simply wearable toys and not timepieces.
- chaostheory 3y agoHow do you know they’re not functional?
- AraceliHarker 3y agoThe product page states that "本商品は時計機能はありません" (this product does not have a clock function). https://stasto.co.jp/products_ss/casio/ https://stasto.co.jp/products_ss/casio/
- chaostheory 3y agoThat is strange considering these exist: https://www.fossil.com/en-us/products/watch-ring-two-hand-gold-tone-stainless-steel/ES5246.html https://www.fossil.com/en-us/products/watch-ring-two-hand-go... https://minipikoo.com https://minipikoo.com I guess the price hinted that it was just a toy
- EvilArch 3y agoActually I'm glad that I found this article. The first article I read about these pretty much said they were functional and had a 20 year life. I was ready to give my co-worker, who's Nephew is stationed in Japan, $50 to buy the collection and ship them back to the US.
