I have my own experience where Wells Fargo put my account, acquired from a Wachovia merger, into a dormant state in an attempt to seize my funds. I removed all my funds after a few tirades over the phone cleared the status and closed the account. I always cringe when Wells Fargo buys my loans, which has happened with home loans on two occasions. However they seem to be a reliable loan servicer.
