Would you compare that to the ease of getting a job and visa in the US or Canada, which I think is somewhat the point of the article. Germany might be easy but their processes currently seem more tedious than the US and Canada. Those are their competitors when it comes to skilled workers.
- Eumenes 3y agoIdk about Canada but the visa process for tech workers in the US isn't exactly easy (unless you're from India or China, which represent 85% of all h1bs). You pretty much have to pay for a Graduate degree in the US to get to work here, which is expensive. Its kind of a pay to play model really. Germany's requirements are actually less strict, but agreed, the process is more nebulous. Hard to find resources online, mostly in German.
