Thanks for the context. However, the focus should be on how the ocean will cope with this today. If the consequences are significant, is there anything we can do to avoid or mitigate them? The same with the global warming (boiling?). I'm not saying you're doing this (it's not clear), but I'm quite tired of these kind of responses to these kind of planetary stats which focus on 'when records began'. Whatever you think of when this started or how it started or if humans caused it or not ... we still have to respond to it as best we can.
