I worry about this method of getting Stripe support. First, HN only seems to be effective for Stripe support if you can get enough attention, otherwise these posts seem to get no attention. I worry that one day, I too will need help with some stupid Stripe issue, and when I post something on HN it will just be ignored and won't go anywhere. Second, it's sad that this is the way to get any sort of support at all. Tech surely has regressed in the past decade.
- simonblack 3y agoI worry that one day, I too will need help with some stupid Stripe issue Time to move away from Stripe, while you can. Spread your risk. Putting all your eggs in one basket is asking for trouble. If you're risking your whole livelihood on the 'generosity of (Stripe) strangers', you're doing it wrong.
- rexreed 3y agoI keep looking for alternatives but there always seem to be negative tradeoffs. I've asked in a comment elsewhere in this post about Gravity payments but not getting any responses. So I keep hoping.
