They didn't really give enough info in the article but this appears to be an extremely unethical use of AI, if in fact they are actually using LLMs. Maybe I'm misunderstanding and it's just an "interview" chatbot to gather data with a script. Trusting technology (llms) that has some inherent unreliability with something like this is ridiculous to me, especially considering the "ethical AI" angle. It suggests how superficial peoples notion of AI ethics is.
