Yet another article from The Guardian to convince you that the media and the government would never lie (most certainly not when your health is at stake).
Everything is a conspiracy theory unless it is proven true (happening a lot these days).
- ZeroGravitas 3y agoThe article says: > “If we want to address the trend of women seeking help outside mainstream medicine, it’s not the women we need to fix; it’s mainstream medicine.” and > For QAnon to be the most convincing answer, what someone has heard before must have been completely unsatisfactory.
- extasia 3y agoThe cognitive dissonance is dripping off of these sorts of articles. I used to read 500+ Guardian articles per year but they're basically ragebait at this point unfortunately..
- ggm 3y agoA very unhelpful comment, all things considered. The guardian doesn't hide it's left leaning biases, and has a consistent history of observations which tend to true, based on subsequent events. ie, a priori, yes, some degree of cynicism about news is sensible. But, no, a priori rejection of all comment from the news is not sensible. If you really just meant "I don't agree" you'd get better interaction by saying so. If I want to do pole dancing, I'd rather not have my pole dancing teacher inform me of the evils of the CIA and mind control doing it. That seems to me to be an alignment of my goals, and the reportage from this paper. Maybe when you're doing pole, you LIKE this distraction? I guess the tin foil hats work well with spandex.

A priori rejection can be sensible. This very article argues for nothing else by associating criticism with QAnon. The most sensible reaction can be to respond in kind.
- TurkishPoptart 3y agoThe campaign of Covid fear was completely unnecessary and, at worst, manipulative in order to get people to take untested pharmaceutical products for almost no reason besides Big Pharma profit. And if we questioned whether the virus really did come from a Chinese lab funded by American tax dollars, the White House petitioned a former CIA officer (head of "misinfo" at Facebook) to remove the content: [1] [1]: https://twitter.com/Jim_Jordan/status/1684957664265031681 https://twitter.com/Jim_Jordan/status/1684957664265031681
- NoZebra120vClip 3y ago> untested pharmaceutical products Yeah, but they were all free. No Charge. Complimentary. Nobody paid for it. Vaccines growing on trees. Let's walk up to the Big Rock Candy Mountain and draw vaccines from the spring next to the soda fountain. Kids get a free Barbie glitter tattoo.

- TurkishPoptart 3y agoRight. Anyone who doubted these clowns was branded as an "anti-vaxxer" or a "rightwinger". Turns out the clowns were right, based on the WhatsApp messages from UK health minister Matt Hancock. Just a few such examples.
