Is it possible that the claims of the critic are not opinion but truly false? Why file a law suit that's just going to draw more attention and give oxygen to the critics unless you have at least some chance of winning?
- rsynnott 3y agoPeople do it all the time! Especially, er, rich weirdos. I assume the general mechanism is "rich weirdo says to lawyer 'they were mean about me! Punish them!', lawyer explains that there is no case, eventually to shut up rich weirdo, lawyer files a complete nonsense case". It's basically an emotional support lawsuit.
