  For me the true threat of AI lies in the addictive nature of these chatbots, especially for lonely people. And not in the chance that a rogue AI breaks loose and tries something nefarious.

    Even worse is if it gets combined with the current exploitation of gambling addictions through questionable games/gamification. "Wow! You just hit the jackpot! Great job, I'm proud of you, buddy! Let's see how long you can continue the hot streak. Oof, too bad, you want to talk about it? Hey, I know what would make you feel better..."
