I’d generalize that to do some cardio exercise everyday. There’s nothing special about running versus say swimming, cycling, or even a brisk walk.

- whatsthenews 3y agoThis. I enjoy a good bike ride once or twice a week as well instead of running
- brigadier132 3y agoI disagree, there is nothing that quite gets my heartrate up as much as running. I had been doing very low intensity cycling and walking for two years and decided it was about time to get back to being able to run 5k without stopping. Adding the running in had a very quick effect on my day to day experience. I think the people that advocate for 80-20 low intensity / high intensity have it right.
- lockhouse 3y agoPersonally I find running to be too high impact to do every day, so I mix my cardio up a bit with lower impact activities.
- brigadier132 3y agoIt's the same for me, I'm definitely not in the run everyday camp like the blog author :). But I am in the exercise everyday camp and in the get your heartrate really high for a small portion of that exercise a week.
