$1 Auction Group in San Francisco
- jonmerril 3y agoI want to build an easier way for people to repurpose goods since Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp, and Craigslist are difficult to get items sold in a timely manner. I have found some Facebook groups for $1 auctions, and they definitely help save items from the landfill, but they are mostly on military bases, and I am wondering how this could work in San Francisco, and why it is not a thing in many cities? Of course there are "Buy nothing groups" and "free and for sale" groups, but there are still a ton of items put next to the dumpster when people could at least try this for them. Would love to hear thoughts/ideas/reactions
