Not if the anecdote contradicts an equally unsubstantiated generalisation, honestly. If you're going to complain about the quality of the discussion, do it with both sides, not just the argument you side against.

It would be much more substantial than anecdotal what his friends and coworkers do. It’s about as bad as the old Slashdot “do people still watch TV? I haven’t own a TV in 10 years”
- debugnik 3y agoBut why do you expect people to put any effort to answer someone that didn't put any either? Subpar comments are begging for subpar replies. If you want to read a non-silly thread, I suggest looking for a non-silly opener, this website has more than average of those.
