Ar5iv: Articles from arXiv.org as responsive HTML5 web pages
- moritzwarhier 3y agoThis is such an awesome idea! Print-width PDFs can be a pain on mobile in cases when there is no working word-wrapped view. I frequently would like to follow PDF links on mobile and the example looks good.
- mcdonje 3y agoThis is beautiful. Bravo!
- almyndz 3y agoreally great stuff, if references that are also on arxiv can be found and hyperlinked I'd have so much fun bouncing between papers
- schemescape 3y agoI think normal spacing (instead of justified) would make it even easier to read.
- Q_is_4_Quantum 3y agoIts a great start! It seems to be using the bibtex tags for the inline citations. They don't stand out clearly enough for my liking, and they also have me worried: have I ever used a tag for someones paper like "XXXnonsense" or "dumbassYYY"?? Knowing myself, well....
- dginev 3y agoSounds like a case of a broken conversion. You can report these with the "report an issue" button at the bottom of each article. And feel free to suggest better styling ideas as well. I keep wondering if we should have several themes emphasizing different elements...
- Q_is_4_Quantum 3y agoUnfortunately I don't have a github account, but in case you will take a report from here. In this paper of mine: https://ar5iv.labs.arxiv.org/html/2303.05514 https://ar5iv.labs.arxiv.org/html/2303.05514 The references come inline and not well separated from the text (eg in square brackets) like this: Recently the world was introduced to PYTHEUS Ruiz-Gonzalez et al. (2022); Arlt, Ruiz-Gonzalez, and Krenn (2022). Like his homophonic namesake, PYTHEUS is an explorer, who in just a few short years has already made new scientific discoveriesArlt, Ruiz-Gonzalez, and Krenn (2022)! I suspect this is related to me using bibtex poorly in the original or something! Anyway, great work overall, thanks again :)
- lloydatkinson 3y agoWhy did it take this long?
- dginev 3y agoZero full-time people on a project without any dedicated funding. Search for "welcome to ar5iv!" on youtube for a talk with the full details.
