Anonymity is not required for free speech to function.
- indymike 3y agoThere are points where it is, particularly political speech.
- Pyramus 3y agoYes there are some points where it is, e.g. elections, whistleblowing, witness protection etc., which goes to show that in general, in Western democratic societies, anonymity is not a requirement for free speech.
