I've been here for a year and I don't recall seeing godaddy mentioned on HN once.
Way back when I was a helldesk imp, godaddy was one of the better providers IME. I wouldn't use it now, but I also wouldn't consider it peak facepunching.
- retrocryptid 3y agoIf you search for "godaddy" on HN and sort by date, the majority of the posts have a negative sentiment towards godaddy. But they seem chunked. Two in the last week, three from three months ago, ten from seven months ago. My sense is that if you averaged them out, it looks like there are about two per month. And sure, one every two months isn't the same as one per week, but it's not so far off as to enter hyperbole territory, I think.
